Our ROOTS
Our story began at the markets of Broadbeach, a popular beachside destination on Australia’s Gold Coast.
At our small bodywork stall, people gathered, connected, and found a moment of healing. Day by day, these simple encounters and shared experiences became the foundation of what would eventually grow into organic aum.
THE BEGINNING
In 2018, organic aum was born in Beechmont, Queensland, Australia.
Inspired by the Japanese aesthetics of wabi-sabi and Zen, and by a deep appreciation for the quietness and simplicity of Japan, we began creating spaces and experiences that invite us to reconnect with our true selves and remember that everything is interconnected.
At a time when outdoor bathing and sauna experiences were still relatively uncommon in Australia, organic aum grew as a day spa offering a unique blend of bodywork, healing and yoni steaming, alongside an outdoor bath and sauna immersed in nature.
As a therapist myself, I continued to work hands-on with clients, alongside a team of experienced therapists who shared the same vision. Together, supported by the deep trust we built with our clients, we shared countless moments of connection, healing and genuine human warmth.
These experiences became an essential part of the foundation upon which organic aum continues to grow today.
AUM is a name inspired by “A-Un” and the sacred sound Om, symbolizing a return to your true self.
RECOGNITION
Our work was recognized in 2023, when organic aum was selected as one of the Top 8 Spas on the Gold Coast, giving us the opportunity to stand alongside some of the region’s most renowned spas.
But recognition and titles have never been what matters most to us.
What we have always cared about is creating the time and space for people to return to who they truly are.
That intention remains at the heart of organic aum today.

A NEW CHAPTER
In 2025, the knowledge and practices of natural and alternative therapies cultivated in Australia met the quiet healing presence of the land in Akiu, Sendai. This meeting marked the beginning of a new chapter for organic aum.
Akiu is a historic hot spring town surrounded by abundant nature. Just a short distance from central Sendai, yet far enough to feel removed from the pace of everyday life, Akiu holds a quietness where time seems to gently slow down.
The changing light of the seasons. The movement of the wind. The sound of the river. The rustling of the trees.
The natural rhythms of this land gently invite the breath to deepen and the mind to settle, creating space to slow down, reconnect and simply be.
THE LAND
Crystals have been thoughtfully placed throughout the grounds, including quartz, symbolizing purification and harmony; rose quartz, representing love and gentleness; and amethyst, associated with stillness and spiritual awareness.
We have created a space that resonates with the natural elements of the land — the changing light, the movement of the wind, the scents of each season, and the quiet energy of nature in Akiu, Sendai.
Living in harmony with nature is also an important part of how we operate. Our electricity is powered off-grid through solar energy and battery storage, reducing our reliance on conventional energy sources.
Even in the things that cannot be seen, we choose a way of being that respects the natural cycles of the earth and lives in harmony with the environment.
THE DOME
The white, rounded dome is softly designed without sharp corners, creating a gentle and embracing space.
Its unique acoustics and the sense of being held, almost as if returning to the womb, invite you to slow down and settle into the present moment. Sounds and voices spread softly through the space, while natural light gently fills the dome.
Surrounded by this sense of quiet protection, the breath and heartbeat naturally begin to settle, gradually returning to their own natural rhythm.
Held within this deeply comforting space, each session, retreat and practice can unfold slowly and naturally, allowing you to rest, reconnect and go deeper within.
RECONNECT
Step away from the noise of everyday life and spend time moving with the rhythm of nature.

At organic aum, we offer experiences that invite you to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and return to who you truly are.
Founder
As a child, I was often physically unwell and spent much of my early life relying on both traditional herbal medicine and Western medicine. A major turning point came during high school, when I discovered a book on breathwork. It opened my eyes to the profound connection between the mind and body, and became the beginning of my journey toward exploring the inner world.
In my twenties, I found support and meaning through spiritual exploration. Then, when I became pregnant at the age of 30, I began incorporating natural therapies into my life and took a deeper look at the way I wanted to live. Through raising my children, I was also introduced to a wide range of approaches to learning and education, including Steiner education. These experiences deepened my understanding of what it means to live in harmony — not only through wellness practices, but in everyday life.
My own experience of living with a fragile constitution taught me the importance of learning to heal ourselves and creating balance between the mind, body and the way we live. This understanding remains at the heart of my work as a therapist today.
Following the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, I moved overseas. In New Zealand, I met a healing teacher whom I deeply respected and began to explore self-healing more deeply. I later moved to Australia, where I completed a Diploma of Remedial Massage, a nationally recognized professional qualification.
This marked the beginning of my professional journey as a therapist. Over the years, I have worked with more than 10,000 clients, continually exploring ways of offering care that embraces not only the body and mind, but also the way we live and experience life.
Today, I continue to value my own practice, learning and exploration, while sharing what I have discovered with others through organic aum.
